"Of all of our inventions for mass communication, pictures still speak the most universally understood language." — Walt Disney
In English 10-2, we’ll focus on basic communication skills through the study of short stories, non-fiction, poetry, a modern play, a feature film, and a novel. This course is recommended for students interested in pursuing college programs, apprenticing in the trades, or entering the workforce with a high school diploma. Note that students need ELA 30-2 to graduate. In the -2 stream, we deconstruct texts and learn to personally respond to literature in three main written forms.
